Singing Valentines:

We hope to have a full report on for Singing Valentines sales available Tuesday. Six singers from the Harmony Hawks and two from the Old Capitol Chorus made up the two quartets. Thank you to quartet members Al Huneke, Jack Ray, Larry Hlavacek, Gary Lindsay, Darrel Herschberger and Duane Scott, to Mary Huneke from her PR work, to Darrel for leading the effort and to Bob Handley for manning Valentines Central. The quartets had a great time bringing a great experience to the recipients.

Thanks to the 20 or so who came out today for the inaugural Soup ‘n’ Sweets event at the Northwest Recreation Center. That venue suited us very well I thought. The food was great and we had fun singing and quarteting on some Valentines songs.

Tuesday at 6:00 pm quartets will meet for some fine tuning in preparation for Wednesday’s Singing Valentines.

Speaking of that, now is the time to do your last-minute email and Facebook sharing of the event. Look for the email I sent out last week. Special thank you’s go to Darrell Herschberger for his coordination and Mary Huneke for her promotional work.

Here is Chads plan for rehearsal Tuesday:

  • Warm up – Valentine’s songs
  • I Don’t Know Why (Polecat 2 book)
  • Bright Was the Night (Polecat 2)
