Update, Sep. 29

This week’s practice

Hello chorus members,

There is still no end in sight for this COVID-19 thing. Since we are not meeting and don’t have a good way to rehearse virtually, we would like to begin a new program.

Each week we will provide a song that we would like you to work on. We are asking for thirty minutes to one hour of your time each week to work on the song. This can be in one day, or spread out over multiple days. Each song has the learning tracks available on the Harmony Hawks website at http://harmonyhawks.org/for-the-hawks. (If you need a reminder of the password, email Gary Lindsay ([email protected]).

We will begin this effort with the songs that we would have sung on the Spring Show.

  • If you would like to record yourself and have feedback on your singing, I will be happy to have you send me the recording and I will give you written comments. If enough people want this, I will reach out to other members to help with the feedback.
  • I am collecting updates on your weekly practicing, which is entirely voluntary. Just send me the song and the amount of time you spend. ([email protected])

This week please concentrate on Alexander’s Ragtime Band.
In harmony,

Larry

Membership Renewal

Al Huneke has signed up for his 15th year with the Harmony Hawks.  What a blessing to our chapter.  An “intelligent” baritone who has served many years as treasurer and show chairman.  Al has a personality that make no enemies and he is an eager volunteer to get involved.  Mary, his wife, is also a willing supporter of our chapter, selling tickets for the Spring shows and Valentines.

Thanks, Al, for all you do and for being a member of the Harmony Hawks.

Wendell, Secretary
