Youth In Harmony Event awarded grant
Thanks to the work of Al Huneke and Bob Kerdus, our October YIH event has been awarded a $1,000 grant by the Cedar Rapids Community Foundation. With other contributions from members and supporters we are within a few hundred dollars of our the money needed to put on this event. If you have a contribution to make, please do so in the next few weeks. You can turn in a check to Gary Lindsay or Bob Kerdus this Thursday.
Board members who will be helping at the event need to complete Sexual Abuse Awareness Training. This training involves watching a number of videos and answering questions about them.. Please do this soon. The training can be accessed at this link. The video training will take about an hour and has content that is very important to know.
All members should put the Friends and Family Concert that night on their calendars as the chorus will perform. The concert will be at Prairie High, Friday, October 5 at 7 p.m. We will perform our contest set.
