Weekly Update, Feb. 11

Singing Valentines delivered Monday

Two quartets from the chorus will be delivering Singing Valentines this Monday, Feb. 14. Jack Ray is coordinating SV sales this year, Cal Birky is scheduling the quartets, Bob Handley is ordering flowers, and Gary and Linda Lindsay will host Valentine Central (home base for the quartets). These are being sold through our website, Facebook, and directly from the email you members have forwarded to your own contacts. It is not too late to promote these or to order one for your special someone. The order form is linked here.

Plans for rehearsal, Tuesday, 15 February

Note from direstor Chad Knipfer: Great rehearsal last Tuesday. I know we didn’t cover a LOT of material, but what we did cover, we worked really hard on learning the notes. Let’s work this weekend on your own learning some of the notes on your own so we can start rehearsal with a leg up.

Remember to look over the key change of God Bless the USA. It’s NOT like the recording – so we’ll hit it again this coming week. Also, please note that the PDF of God Bless the USA has been updated on the PDF Page. You might want to download this for rehearsal.

Tuesday Rehearsal Plan:

  • Warm-ups – Sweet & Lovely
  • Sectionals (Alexander’s Ragtime Band) – 20 Minutes
  • Group (Alexander’s Ragtime Band)
  • <Break>
  • God Bless the USA (keychange)
  • Homeward Bound
  • I’ll Fly Away
  • Isn’t She Lovely (if time permits)
