Singing Valentines sales are underway

It is still not too late to get the word out about Singing Valentines. Sales will continue right up to the last one on Saturday, or until our quartets run out of energy! All the information needed for ordering Singing Valentines is available on the website HarmonyHawks.org.

    ***About “Bridge Over Troubled Water”: If you really want to keep this song in our repertoire, then you need to demonstrate that. In the next two weeks, you need to work on the song using the learning tracks. We will try the song again at rehearsal. If there is not adequate improvement, we will remove this from our list of songs. It is up to you!

Using Your Music

Remember that you are to bring your music to rehearsal every week, along with a pencil. Please use your music when we are introducing songs that haven’t been sung in a while and when you are not 100% certain of the notes. There is NO BETTER WAY to fix notes than to see them in print while you are singing them!

Spring Show Canceled

As was announced at last Tuesday’s rehearsal, the Board voted unanimously to cancel the Spring Show. There were many reasons why this decision was made. Because of this, we need you to think of ways to bring in revenue to offset the loss in funding. 

Singing Valentines sales are underway

Valentine’s Day is less than two weeks away. Singing Valentines sales is not only a great and unique service to our community but is also a major source of the funds needed to run the Harmony Hawks Chorus. Consider it your responsibility to be part of promoting this effort. All the information needed for ordering Singing Valentines is available on the website HarmonyHawks.org.

At this time, we have two quartets that will be delivering the Valentines. A big thank-you goes out to the members of these quartets. You will do a great job of representing the Harmony Hawks! And you might even have some fun.

Singing Valentines sales are underway

Singing Valentines need your participation

Valentine’s Day is rapidly approaching. Singing Valentines sales is not only a great and unique service to our community but is also a major source of the funds needed to run the Harmony Hawks Chorus. It is second only to our spring show as a fundraiser. As such, each of you should consider it your responsibility to be part of this effort.

What will your roles be?

• Will you sing as part of a quartet?
• Will you contact friends and family asking them to purchase one?
• Will you send email and post on social media as part of the promotional effort?
• Some of us will be dong all of the above – what are you willing to contribute?

Quartets needed: We need two or more quartets, and you can help. Since we will only need to learn a few easy songs, you can try out a new part. As always, tenors and baritones are especially needed.

FIRST ACTION: Anyone who would like to be in a Singing Valentines quartet should come to the rehearsal early at 6:00. At that time we will sing some of the songs. If you are unable to be at the 6:00 P.M. rehearsal but would like to participate, please call Tom Read at 319-360-3765, and let him know you want to participate.
