Renewals

Celebrating renewals March 5 were these three from the lead section, Lee Freie, Jack Ray and Steve Nelson.
Wendell Aldrich celebrates the renewal of J.P. McDonald at our March 19 rehearsal.

Reminders:

  • Normal chorus rehearsal 6:30 Tuesday
  • Contest Chorus rehearsal: 6 p.m in Iowa City 

Ad sales continue:

An achievable goal for each of us it to contact each of our last year’s customers before rehearsal Tuesday. Deliver the ad letter and 2024 Contract. We should not delay this so that our customers have a full month to respond. Next week you can look for new customers. If you need help with making these contacts, just ask.

Upcoming:

Spring Show. Our spring show will be held on May 11, starting at 3 p.m.. It will be held at St Paul’s. If we have an afterglow, it will be held in the Wesley Center, in the lower level of the church. Stay tuned for more details.

Iowa City Cookie Festival. Join the Old Capitol Chorus and others from eastern Iowa for singing and fellowship on Thursday, May 2. Starts at 7:00 on the 2nd floor of the Robert A Lee Rec center. Plan on singing “Daydream” and “King of the Road” at the event. Look for more details when they become available.

Cedar Rapids Kernels National Anthem We will sing the Star Spangled Banner at the Kernels’ game on Tuesday, June 25. Game starts at 6:35. Put it on your calendar!
