Tuesday’s Rehearsals
- Competition chorus rehearsal starts at 5:30 in Cedar Rapids at St Paul’s. We may be meeting in the Wesley Center (basement) instead of the choir room.
- Regular Harmony Hawks rehearsal starts at 7:00.
Ad Sales Continue
Please make sure that you complete your initial ad contacts this week. We are starting to get completed contacts and checks for payment from our supporters. These can be turned into Al Huneke at rehearsal.
Spring Convention
- Arrive Saturday morning, April 20, by 9:00 at the Gateway Hotel (2100 Green Hills Drive, Ames)
- Pattern starts at 9:15, and we are FIRST and will start at the Gateway Hotel
- We will take charter bus to Ames City Auditorium (520 6th St, Ames)
- Chorus feedback will take place at the Ames City Auditorium
- The charter bus will take us back to the Gateway Hotel after feedback session
- Attire: Black pants, white long-sleeved button-down shirt, black belt, black shoes (no ties)

Upcoming
Iowa City Cookie Festival. Join the Old Capitol Chorus and others from eastern Iowa for singing and fellowship on Thursday, May 2. Starts at 7:00 on the 2nd floor of the Robert A Lee Rec center. Plan on singing “Everybody Loves Somebody Sometime” and “King of the Road” at the event. Look for more details when they become available.
Spring Show. Our Spring Show will be held on May 11, starting at 3:00 PM. It will be held at St Paul’s. An afterglow will be held in the Wesley Center, in the lower level of the church. Stay tuned for more details.
Cedar Memorial Memorial Day Sing-out. May 27. Stay tuned for more details.
Cedar Rapids Kernels National Anthem. We will sing the Star Spangled Banner at the Kernels’ game on Tuesday, June 25. Game starts at 6:35. Put it on your calendar!
