Weekly Update for April 29

Good rehearsal last night

It was great to welcome back Bob Kerdus from his travels and winter residence in AZ. Welcome back also to Duane Scott who shared the good news about the Pine Barrens Chorus. Kyle Minor who has visited the past several weeks was back and is exploring membership! We sang Happy Birthday to Tom Read and Duane and that song is sounding better as we continue to agree on a single version to sing. Many of us extended the fun at the afterglow at the Starlite Room.

Review from Tuesday’s rehearsal:

  • “Something” – Review the emotional plan and mark your copy of the music as a reminder: Think back to our youth when we experienced love for the first time. What attracted us to our first love? Was it really love? Would it last? The song’s speaker is sharing these feelings with a friend, being vulnerable. When the lyrics say, “You’re asking me will my love grow…” we need to sing more emphatically.
  • “Love Letters” – Keep up the good work learning this on your own. Off the Music (OTM) date is May 19

One insight from the survey:

Note: If you have not completed the survey, please ask for a paper copy and complete it so we have a complete picture. Your opinion matters!
